Summary Minutes for the Committee meeting of the
Friends of the University of Dundee Botanic Garden,

Minutes
of the April meeting: there were approved with minor corrections: proposer JG,
seconder JW.
Matters arising:
- Pop-up plant sales will take place in June.
Treasurer’s report:
- Slight deficit this past year
- Financial support for this year’s Friends’ Hugh Ingram Bursary is now in place.
Garden report:
- The current recipient of the Friends’ Hugh Ingram Bursary will write an article for the next newsletter
- The Garden will contribute to Green Health Week
- Planning progresses for a pilot of the Urban Arboretum within Dundee City
- Final data has been gathered for the i-Tree data set covering 1300 trees. Further information at: https://www.itreetools.org/tools/i-tree-eco
- Garden will introduce a Cherry Walk to the memorial garden.
Subscription
prices: It is agreed that these should be raised, and this will be put to
the AGM in September.
River
viewpoint: Application submitted to Awards for All Scotland to support additional
features.
Friends’ Anthology:
this will be relaunched as the initial launch in early 2020 was clouded by the pandemic.
Notelets
project: After selection of images this project will proceed to printing.
