Saturday 4th August. Friends’ Summer Gathering: starting at 4pm and running through to sunset at 9pm. Food and entertainment provided. Return to this page to get more information nearer the time.

August/September - dates TBC. Exhibition of a sample of artistic works submitted for the Anthology Project.

August 31st - September 2nd. Dundee Flower & Food Festival. The Friends will have a stand and volunteers to staff this (in 2-hour slots) would be welcome. Contact fudbg.committee@gmail.com

Wednesday 12th September. Friends AGM at 7pm in the Education Centre.

Wednesday 17th October at 2.15pm. Afternoon lecture. Dr Neil Paterson, from the Botanic Garden. Sex, Obsession and Madness: Linnaeus and the naming of “names". A brief history of the scientific naming and classification of plants including the fascinating (and very odd) Swede Linnaeus and the unsung hero of plant taxonomy, the Englishman John Ray. This lecture takes place in the D’Arcy Thompson lecture theatre in the tower Building at 2.15 pm, admission £2.
